Abstrak

This paper examines the EFL teachers’ perceptions toward the Scientific Approach in
\ntheir classroom interaction in Indonesian school context, focusing particularly on their
\nunderstanding, perspectives, and implementation of the scientific approach. It aims at
\nexploring teachers’ perception towards the Scientific Approach applied in the teaching and
\nlearning interaction. The study employs survey research to gain the data. Purposive sampling
\ntechnique was employed in selecting the EFL teachers as the respondents. The result of the
\nstudy demonstrated that there were marked differences in the way the EFL teachers perceive
\nthe scientific approach in their classroom teaching practices.
